Goal: to improve the knowledge of Russian Language, develop writing, reading, listening and speaking skills
Educational process: the programme of the course provides an individual approach which makes it possible to take into account the needs of each student in the group. One of the goals of the course is to help students start speaking Russian as soon as possible, therefore the course is taught in Russian, if necessary in English.
Methods: apart from well-known methods, we will use different role-plays, watching and analyzing videos, listening to the songs and translating them, etc.
Topics: I, family, friends, hobbies and free time, culture, weather, health, home, work, education and others.
Content:
- Phonetics (alphabet, ratio of letters and sounds, stress and rhythm, rules of pronunciation and reading, types of intonation structures)
- Morphology (noun, pronoun, adjective, verb, numeral, adverb)
- Syntax (types of sentences, direct and indirect speech)
- Vocabulary (the most essential vocabulary)
By the end of the course: the student will acquire a basic level of knowledge and skills sufficient to solve communication tasks in everyday's life.
Lecturer: Tatjana Ivanova is a philologist - specialist in Russian, teacher of Russian as a foreign language (RFL) with knowledge of English. Has many years of successful experience of working with foreign language students from around the world at universities in Russia and other countries.
Duration: 120 academic hours, 3 times a week
